We've just been given a very last minute gig at the Paradise in New Cross. Tonight, that is, on at 9, soundcheck at 7. We've still got no replacement guitarist and are going to have to try and cut it as a three piece.. Should be a laugh.

My first reaction was to say that I would have finished that edit with "Should be terrifying", but then I remembered that one of the best gigs I did one of my old bands was when the guitarist wasn't there and I was left on my own for guitar/keyboard duties. And that was a LOT of fun.

So, yeah, it should be a good giggle. ;o)

Well, it was okay. Half the pub were much more interested in a sut-throat pool match. We were unexpectedly headlining and everything, which meant I had to rush and pack up and rush off without even time for a pint when we finished if I wanted to be home before three.

But music-wise it went okay, we've been practising as a three piece, in the long term it'll do good for the way the bass and drums fit together, but we do need a lead guitarist. Still, did two new songs and mostly got away with them.

The biggest problem was the heat. I'm amazed I didn't throw any sticks given how soaked through I was..
