They're trying their best to be professional, as in they've got all the trappings of it; if that drummer got asked to go on tour as stand-in with a well-known band I bet he could, too. And I've seen worse bands for tightness, not least including my own, half the time. But none of this is enough without it being in the service of something. Some music reviewers don't get that either...
