Here's a recipe I got from the food_porn community. The numbers are a bit odd because I've translated them from cups and suchlike, including compensating for density.
Chocolate Mint Crinkles
111 g cocoa powder
383 g granulated sugar
118 ml veg oil
4 eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 tsp mint extract
198 g plain flour
2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
65 g icing sugar
1. In a medium bowl, mix together cocoa, white sugar, and vegetable oil.
2. Beat in eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla and mint.
3. Combine the flour, baking powder, and salt; stir into the cocoa mixture.
4. Cover dough, and chill for at least 2 hours.
5. Preheat oven to 175 degrees C. Line cookie sheets with parchment paper.
6. Roll dough into one inch balls. Coat each ball in icing sugar before placing onto prepared cookie sheets.
7. Bake in preheated oven for 10 to 12 minutes.
I wasn't sure how this business with coating the balls with icing sugar would go because the batter seems sort of liquid when it's been mixed, but chilling it makes it more solid and it forms coatable balls easily.
And here's the proof that it works. There were (there aren't now...) 45, and I don't think I made them particularly small.
