Domesticity
Jan. 31st, 2009 07:45 pmSeriously, there was some leftover steamed savoy cabbage from yesterday, and along with a small onion and some black olives it made an amazingly vegetabular omelette, and I had sweet potato chips with it and it was ace.
Also today I have finally finished my undersuit. And this is what it looks like:

Some of the stitching is a bit dodgy if someone was looking for that sort of thing, but I think it's quite solidly made. It fits properly while having room enough to do the sort of contortions that can be necessary while diving. I'm quite proud of it.
Also I tried my bike out this afternoon and while the gears seem very inclined to jam when cranking them round indoors, they seem to work fine in the real world, although something's still maladjusted and therefore rattling. Compared to where I thought that project was, that's pretty good.
Right. Time to shave the sides of my head.

Date: 2009-01-31 08:54 pm (UTC)Cyprus in March will be about the same temperature as the UK in summer, so it's not that bad. Although having done that in a poorly-fitting rented wetsuit last year, that's why I got a drysuit.

Date: 2009-02-01 10:56 am (UTC)Hmmmm, perhaps by the summer I might be able to do that. Just need a drysuit and buy a couple of uk certified tanks and a new manifold.
