Every morning for breakfast, in my current setup and in some previous ones too, I have a bowl of cereal and a mug of hot squash. The squash concentrate goes in the mug, the cereal goes in the bowl, the hot water goes in the mug, the milk goes in the bowl, and most mornings I'm aware of this lurking edge of potential chaos where I could do this wrong, especially since the time a few years ago where I put squash concentrate on my cereal. (Apple and blackcurrant does not go well on Fruit And Fibre, it turns out.) This morning I realised I was carefully pouring cereal into the mug. The thing is, it always feels like a relief when it happens; instead of the lurking potential, the worst has happened, and actually, everything's fine.

Given the which, I'm going to carry on with work. Things have been going slowly but they're going to not do, sometime soon, you know? There is acceleration just over the horizon, I can feel it.

Once, still very drunk one morning while staying with friends, I performed the following series of actions

(1) take toothbrush holder* out of washbag
(2) open holder, take out toothbrush
(3) put toothpaste on toothbrush
(4) run water over toothbrush
(5) put toothbrush back in holder, close holder
(6) stare blankly at holder for sixty or so seconds, swaying gently and certain that something is Not Quite Right but wholly unable to process what flavour of fail has befallen me

*you know, sort of like this thing http://qurl.com/1yfmw

Oh, that's annoying. I would have thought apple and blackcurrant would go well with fruit and fibre. Still, I'm glad I have you to check for me.
