More plastering
Feb. 25th, 2010 01:49 pmI have failed in two vital ways to make all this plastering I'm doing more exciting. I'm not using X-ray-proof plaster (but that's okay, the sunspot activity this year should disrupt the mind control rays well enough) and I hadn't heard of plaster projection machines - a plaster splatter-gun that'd probably lead to some sort of spectacularly entertaining plaster disaster, so perhaps it's a good thing that I don't think I could get one up my stairs. I don't think I could handle the all the wailing guitar either.
I'm about halfway through the wall rebuilding in the kitchen now; a part of one wall where the plaster was totally blown needed building up by about 30 mm in some places, which means three layers of undercoat plaster. Should be done by Saturday. This wall might take an incredibly long time to dry, but not much goes on this wall so it doesn't really matter, and the wall over the sink is starting to observably dry out in places. It might be getting to the point where I have to set about the actual units soon.
