Son O' Nowt tonight
Aug. 31st, 2004 12:02 pmHope and Anchor, Islington, we're third of four, on at 9.45 pm, flyer goodness:

The others look like they might be a laugh too. I don't know the full order but one band are Fencott Disaster who would seem to have a sound approach to making a racket given that the tracks on their demo (recorded by Ben Thomas of Winnebago Deal) are titled Amputee, Gunfight with Beat Takeshi, Tirades Suck/Drop Acid and Goodbye You Lizard Scum.
Hmm. And I can't find anything about Lucid or Samurai Smithy but searching for the latter finds this:
Samurai Smithy - Thrashy punk metal.
Son of Nothing - Punk rock metal action.
Lucid - In yer face girrrl rawck!
Fencott Disaster - Crazy punk rock tunes.
Which resolves the line-up question and sounds like a good evening to me.
Plus, for bonus metal points, I fell off my bike on Sunday (don't ask me how, I don't know; there wasn't any other vehicle involved I don't think but I've lost about twenty minutes of memory, during which time I suspect I mainly stood there staring blankly at road signs trying to remember where they meant I was, and why I was there, and where I was going) and have a champion black eye, as well as various other bruises and scrapes. The tagline that goes on some of our gig listings is 'friendly violent fun' and tonight it will look unusually well-placed.
