I think I need some sort of sweatband. I'm quite appalled by the idea as I've got a very short forehead and don't suit such things, even apart from them being hideously 80s. But for several recent hot-weather gigs I've not been able to *see* by the end because of the sweat in my eyes and I'm really going to have to do something about that. I just don't know what.

Punch Judy had to turn down a gig last Saturday, a quite promising sounding one in Crystal Palace, because it was offered us last minute and I'd already arranged everything to go away for the weekend. It was a horrible choice to have to make because with the last gig going so well too it seemed like a good opportunity but, but, but, it had already taken so much and so long (in some ways, four years) to get all the weekend organised that there was no way I could drop it. As it was I had a splendid weekend and I'm glad I didn't. And the promoter offered us another on this Thursday at the Six String in New Cross anyway.

And that's tomorrow and it's forecast to be very hot and humid still in London and I'm going to sweat like a bastard. I fear anything I try will end up looking like some bizarre and misguided fancy dress attempt.
