Looks like Ros has found a more acceptably-sized female bassist. Shame about the name change - Shriek wasn't a good name but this one is awful. I wonder how they sound?

I realise it's only music journalism, but that phrase "ex-Shriek frontwoman" sugests to me that the other band-members aren't ex-Shriek, so perhaps Shriek is now down to a displaced guitarist?

Well, Shriek was a three-piece, with Ros on guitar and a drummer I never met. I assume the drummer may be the same one - there aren't that many female drummers out there and it might be seen as better to reinvent the band with a new name and just not mention that it's also the same drummer. Effectively, since she was happy to audition as Shriek with just her and a manager, I'd say Ros *was* Shriek, she's the most likely to be recognised and so worth naming. I doubt anyone else could recognisably claim to be ex-Shriek, is what I mean, and any remnants couldn't be Shriek without her.
